It is rather sad to know that Taliban is still holding 19 Korean as hostages. Well, the issue is not a new one, but this has some spiritual significance to me. 

Those Koreans went into a war-wracked country roaming with remnants of Taliban to do relief work out of the love of God I presumed. I guess the might a very strong faith and believe that God will protect them as they ventured into such a hostile territory. Should I say with the will of God, they ended up as hostage? 

So, this reminds me of the crucifixion of Christ. When Jesus asked God to help him, the people there wanted to see whether God would actually help Him or not. So, now, if all the Christian hostages were killed, what will the world think? What will the Christians think?

I guess we better learned from them about the world that we are in now. To go from reality to faith is wonderful, but to go from faith to reality is painful.       

Yen asked Grace whether she loves mummy more or papa more. Grace answered she loves mummy more. I was there and out of curiosity I asked her the same question and the answer surprised us. She answered papa. 

So… after some testing, we came to a conclusion that she will always answer according to who is asking the question without taking into the consideration whether she is contradicting herself. May we find it contradicting but to her might be just as natural as it can be. I guess Grace knows that our love to her is not out of any condition and she would not bother to figure out the logical part thought both of us were present when the question was asked. Adults are just way more complicated than this simple matter. 

Well, after few rounds of asking, she answered she love us both when both of us are present. When either one of us is with her, she will answer according to the one that asks the question. How interesting it is when comes to human nature. 

May be Yen and I are the persons who try to be complicated.

Negaraku is our national anthem and was actually used by a Malaysian student at Taiwan to compose a rap song Negarakuku that tells the way of life in Malaysia from his point of view. So I guess from what I have mentioned you can tell anything wrong from that right?

Ya sure, there were so many thing went wrong with the action of the student after his posted Negarakuku at YouTube.. The citizen of Malaysia jumped especially the so-called official residents. After going through the comments posted at the site, I found some rather interesting facts about the citizen of Malaysia. 

One of the comments said that he could not understand a thing about the song as the song was composed in Mandarin plus other dialects. The amazing thing is he didn’t understand the song but somehow manage to condemn the composer of the song. Amazing right? 

A lot of people say the composer defiled the national anthem but could not point out the matter was done in what way? I don’t know if you ask me. By inserting Negaraku inside the song? How about playing the national anthem to the criminals or ask the criminals to sing the national anthem? When a person listen to Negarakuku until the part where Negaraku is sang, should’nt he be standing? If you are sitting and listen to Negarakuku, then buddies, you have sinned. It is a rather perplexing thought right?  

It has been quite a while since the last post. Since the semester is now at full swing, trying to spend time on the blog is rather difficult. When I was actually in the mood and the right time to write something, guess what, the site is down. Well, may be I should write and save it on my pc first and post them once a week or something like that. 

I managed to pay a visit to my mum and she hangs out very well after my father moved his house to heaven. It was nice to actually learn that she is doing fine without her life-partner. She is attending church service, which she could not do with my father around and she is cheerful, and her physical well-being also improved. She seems content and I am happy to see her living such a happy life though there are still a lot of shortcomings in her life financially. 

While I was still single, I thought I could take care of my parents without much problems, but life is rather cruel and the reality bites

It has been quite a well and now the site is online. So, after all the ding-dong and I found out that I was not promoted because the head of department has not put up his recommendation. Well… at least I know what is the whole story. All the while the head was not telling the true and the people up there also did not actually bother to do anything and now, after 8 years of service still with the same grade. Making the matter hard to swallow is that other lecturers from other Schools got their promotion even they are 2 years junior than me. 

Well… I guess I will just let the issue settled by itself. I believe God is just and He will provide. Anyway… I am still thinking of ways to get even with the head officially… nyek… nyek… nyek
